about Penny

Penny is a medium-high energy dog with low-medium drive. She is social, affectionate, and gentle. She is loyal and attached to her person, but never turning down the opportunity to meet someone new. Penny is a soft female, taking corrections personal and getting her feelings hurt easily. Due to this, we recommend she is adopted by a hander that is not emotional, but rather even-tempered, calm, clear, and consistent in their handling.

Penny is fully on and off leash obedience trained on all 4 basic commands (come, extended sit, extended place, heel, extended down). Penny is housebroken and kennel trained. She sleeps in a crate at night as well as during the day when she is left at home.
Being a previous service dog candidate, she also has loads of public access training and is very confident, well mannered, and handler-focused when working in public spaces.
Penny is also a dream to groom. She has been fully trained for grooming and groomed by us since she was 8 weeks old. Penny has never visited a professional grooming facility because we prefer to handle and groom our own dogs.

Penny is a loyal dog who is attached to her person. However, she never turns down an opportunity to meet and interact with someone new. Penny is great with people of all life stages!
Penny is great with other dogs both male and female. She runs our farm with our own pack of dogs that consists of all sizes and energy levels (German Shepherds, Belgian Malinois, Siberian Husky, Australian Cattle Dog, Australian Kelpie). Penny does not tolerate rude/pushy social behavior and will put her foot down with a bully.
Penny is frequently exposed to my client’s dogs as she accompanies me as a demo-dog during some private classes that I teach. During these outings, she is dog neutral and handler focused.

Penny is currently available for adoption at $3,200 as an active family pet.
This price includes training classes for her adopter, Penny’s training equipment and handling gear, general grooming tools, transfer of her AKC papers, and a letter of general health clearance from a vet.
As we wait for the right owner to adopt Penny, we will be continuing to train in order to certify her as a Therapy Dog and complete AKC CGC Titling. In the event that she meets these goals, her adoption fee will be adjusted to reflect this.
