This program was developed with the help of my best girl, Stella, a Belgian Malinois. After successfully raising and training several dogs over the course of several years throughout my training career, I adopted Stella, a dog who would challenge me and take my training skills to the next level. Although Stella has been raised as a personal protection & protection sport dog, my top priority was ensuring that I raised a reliable family member and demo dog that would be safe around my friends, family, and clients. Yes, Stella has all of the advanced, fancy working dog training that comes with professional protection and sport dog training. However, our main focus has always been the functional part of training. The part where you strive to raise a social, stable, reliable, and safe member of your family.

This program is more than just teaching simple obedience commands. This program takes both dog and owner through a strategic course that takes total advantage of a crucial turning point in your puppy’s development called the “socialization window”. This window opens around 3 to 4 weeks of age and closes around 14 to 16 weeks of age. During this stage, every little experience your puppy has (whether intentional or not) is molding and shaping your puppy’s behavior & view of the world around them. Our top priority is to help you raise a social, confident, stable, and reliable member of your family. With the proper knowledge and tools in place, we can help ensure that you and your dog are set up to make the absolute most of your training journey!

ADULT TRAINING

For the final stage of training, you get to choose between 3 different programs. This stage of training is where we take all of the fundamental skills that your dog learned during puppy training and begin to build on the foundation that we laid. The focus of this final step in training is enhancing your dog’s command reliability & stability by helping your dog to generalize their skills in new environments around real life distractions.

Depending on your goals and lifestyle with your dog, one program may be more suitable for you. We can help you select which option is ideal for you and your dog!

ON LEASH BOARD & TRAIN

  • This program is our most popular option and is ideal for owners who spend most of their time at home with their dogs, but also enjoy some dog-friendly outings here and there.

    In this program, your dog will learn to perform select obedience behaviors off leash within the home and around our 15 acre property. This is so that you can effectively manage and communicate with your dog inside of your house or in your yard.

    Your dog will also take some field trips during training to learn impulse control around real life distractions in dog friendly areas! During these outings, your dog will remain on a leash and will not practice any off leash obedience behaviors.

  • The Off Leash Board & Train is the explorer’s top choice! This program focuses on helping your dog achieve 100% OFF LEASH obedience in environments outside of the home setting.

    This program is a great option for owners who enjoy frequent activity with their dog away from home and wish to give their dog the gift of off leash freedom in the appropriate environments.

    Many owners select this program so they can enjoy the following activities with their dog:

    • Traveling

    • Trips to the lake, river, beach, or farm

HOW IT WORKS

  • Once your puppy has received their second round of vaccinations (typically given at 10 weeks) they will be ready to begin puppy training.

    During this stage of training, you and your puppy will meet with your trainer for 1 hour, once per week for 7 private lessons.

    Private lessons are hosted on Saturdays at our facility in Benton.

  • Once your dog is at least 6 months of age, they will be ready to begin the final stage of training. Some dogs may benefit from a later start around 8-10 months of age. As we get to know your puppy during lessons, we will be able to make the appropriate scheduling call for this stage of training.

  • No, you do not pay the full amount for training upfront.

    To get started, pay an $800 deposit upfront. This amount pays for Puppy Training in full & reserves your future spot for the Board & Train.

    The remaining balance for the Board & Train is due in full at the date of drop off.
